FREQ is a not-for-profit learning and business information hub for companies and individuals working in the Denver area and beyond that are interested in Sustainability studies and practices.

FREQ runs a website packed with articles, commentary and white papers. In turn, we produce a program of topical and high-level events and courses.

Our not-for profit status means we are impartial and objective. Input from delegates, companies and industry bodies shapes the courses, events and online debate.

Online:
FREQ provides a forum for the industry by publishing reports, news and opinion pieces, from blog-style industry rants to critiques of best practice topics.

Events:
FREQ’s events are developed to address topical issues of importance to those with an interest in sustainability. From intimate debates about the latest issues and developments, to high-profile conferences, the defining element of all FREQ events is intelligent interaction with an audience of peers.

Courses:
FREQ’s short, intensive courses help individuals to develop professional skills and businesses to achieve their strategic goals. All practical, result-orientated FREQ courses are designed and taught by experienced practitioners.

Networking:
FREQ seeks to connect the industry. All our activities provide a forum to discuss the issues that matter in a relaxed and sociable environment.

Research:
The FREQ research program draws on strong links with creative industries to provide market intelligence and detailed analysis of the Sustainable Society\ Business sector. Our current work include: Biofuels (waste and algae based) and their commercial byproducts, High yield greenhouse and Hydro-Culture (also known as SPIN: S-mall P-lot IN-tensive gardening), Solar and Thermal energy, and Open Source Manufacturing practices and principles.

Products:
Our research and Development not only give us a better understanding of Sustainability studies but also provide us with top notch products for our members and affiliates. Whether its organic material from our SPIN greenhouses or Biofuel products and their byproducts, FREQ’s goal is to show that Sustainability is not only environmentally sound, it’s profitable.

Background:
FREQ is a not-for-profit body in receipt of public funding. FREQ operates across economic boundaries, bringing together knowledge and expertise from commercial companies, professional bodies and higher education to provide objective, independent guidance and promote success. FREQ is a Colorado based company with 501C status.

FREQ was founded in 2008 by Matt Boggs a serial entrepreneur whose inventive designs have been featured in the local press and television. Prior to that, Matt worked six years at the Advanced Research wing of W.R. Grace in Lexington Ma. followed by a successful IT consulting career with an impressive client base including; Davis, Graham & Stubbs, MCI WorldCom, D.I.A., GuestTek (Starwood\Ritz-Carlton), Fort Carson and Microsoft to name a few.

Matt has been a regular contributor to the P2P Foundation for the last three years, an international foundation which focuses on creating a knowledge base and internetworking platform for peer production, governance, and property, and for open/free, participatory, and commons-oriented social practices, in every field of human activity: politics and the economy, the scientific and the spiritual. From this foundation, Matt hopes to bridge Sustainable Ethics based Science with Profitability.
